In a social media post, the MP said the increase reflected additional payments being credited to Members of Parliament and criticized the government over the matter. The documents shared by the MP show the fuel allowance increasing by about Rs. 64,600 between the two months, while the gross monthly payment also rose from Rs. 412,492.93 in June to Rs. 484,585.46 in July.
